Shipify Inc., doing business as Yellow Tote Co. (“we,” “us”), rents moving totes to customers (“you”) in Lake County, Illinois.
You accept these terms when you submit a booking, confirm by phone or text, or accept delivery of equipment. If you don't agree, please don't book or accept delivery.
Totes, dollies, labels and markers we deliver to you (“equipment”) remain our property at all times. You're renting the right to use them for your rental period — you don't own them, and you may not sell, sublet or lend them to anyone else.
The standard rental period is 7 days, starting on your selected delivery date and time.
You may extend before your scheduled pickup date, subject to availability, at the extension rate shown for your package on our pricing page.
Payment is arranged at booking or confirmation. Applicable state and local taxes will be added where required by law.
You choose your delivery date, delivery time, pickup date and pickup time when you book. You don't need to be present for either — tell us where to leave the equipment and where to collect it from. Pickup can be at a different address than delivery.
On your pickup date, equipment should be empty, closed with lids on, stacked, and left in the agreed location. Delivery and pickup times we give are estimates; we'll contact you if a window changes.
You're responsible for reasonable, safe and lawful access to the delivery and pickup locations (gate codes, building rules, parking, and similar).
You're responsible for the equipment from delivery until we collect it. Please:
Normal scratches and wear from ordinary use are expected and never charged. A tote that's lost or damaged beyond normal wear is $20 to replace. We'll always tell you what we found before charging anything.
48 hours or more before your scheduled delivery: full refund.
Less than 48 hours before delivery: no cash refund, but you may reschedule your reservation once at no charge, subject to availability.
You may change your delivery date at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery at no charge, subject to availability.
Once equipment has been delivered, the rental is non-refundable.
We supply containers. We don't pack, carry, transport or insure your belongings, and we're not a moving company. Check whether your homeowner's or renter's insurance covers goods in transit or storage.
We're not responsible for loss of or damage to your belongings, except where caused by our own negligence. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that can't legally be limited.
By giving us your phone number, you agree we may call or text you about your rental (confirmations, delivery and pickup updates, and billing). Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential messages at any time.
Any referral or partner code applies only as arranged at the time it's issued, and must be entered when you book.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect when you book governs that rental.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
